SLAA GDVI Activities and Events

Note: All times noted in activities are shown in Eastern U.S. time

The GDVI “Meeting & Meal” Series combines an S.L.A.A. Meeting and Fellowship Meal and can be a great way to introduce a meeting to the S.L.A.A. community and encourage fellowship from meeting participants. The Fellowship Meal can be at a local restaurant or a pot-luck meal at the meeting venue.

To support meetings that hold these events on a one-off or recurring basis, GDVI will add the event to our website, including a registration form that will e-mail registrations to the designated meeting contact. Schedule permitting, GDVI may send an eblast to our email list announcing the event.

Recurring Activities

First Sunday of the Month – Easton, PA
5:00 p.m. – Meeting at the Palmer Recovery Center [Meeting Info]
6:15 p.m. – Dinner at a nearby local restaurant (changes every month)

Social Activities & Recovery Events—Who can attend?
Intergroup (GDVI) members organize “Social Activities” and “Recovery Events” to strengthen recovery and the Fellowship. All Social Activities and Recovery Events are drug/alcohol-free.

“Social Activities” are presented by the GDVI Social Committee. (See below–this is a very dynamic, active, imaginative and sober-fun-loving committee!) For Social Activities happening in public places, family members and friends who will respect anonymity are welcome to attend with you.
“Recovery Events” are organized by various GDVI Planning Committees. Recovery Events are open only to S.L.A.A. members and newcomers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Recovery Event—Intergroup on the Road—Ongoing

Intergroup on the Road is now a brief (15-20 minutes) share from current GDVI members, like a speaker meeting, on their personal benefits in recovery as a result of doing regional service. If your S.L.A.A. group would like to have members of GDVI (Intergroup) visit your meeting to share their experience, strength and hope about service in recovery,

Greater Delaware Valley Intergroup of S.L.A.A.

The Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous Greater Delaware Valley Intergroup (GDVI) covers the geographic areas of Eastern Pennsylvania, Central and Southern New Jersey, and the state of Delaware. A central hub where individuals and groups can access information and services including meeting listings, literature, recovery retreats, and fellowship events, and opportunities for inter-meeting cooperation, our key outreach activities include a monthly newsletter and e-mail updates, the Inspiration Line and Story Line. We also send delegates to represent our 60+ S.L.A.A. in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings at the Fellowship Wide Services Annual Meeting.
Any member of the fellowship is able to provide service on the Intergroup’s committees and the monthly Intergroup Board Meeting.

Sex & Love Addicts Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who solve their common problem and help others to recover.
The S.L.A.A.-GDVI does not speak for all of S.L.A.A. This website is not the official S.L.A.A. Fellowship-Wide Services (F.W.S.) website.
